Two attempt to rob bank

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery of the First South Bank at 2801 Cashwell Drive on Tuesday morning, according to police reports.
The reports stated that two suspects entered the bank at 9:16 a.m. One brandished a handgun while the other went behind the counter, but was unable to take any money.
The two suspects then fled north from the bank on foot, according to the reports. Goldsboro Police Maj. Anthony Carmen said that no one was hurt during the incident.
Carmen said that the police department has no suspects at this time.
The North Carolina Bankers Association offers a reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals involved in robbery attempts.
