Preschoolers from child care centers across the county attended the Teddy Bear Picnic, sponsored by the Partnership for Children of Wayne County, Wednesday at Cornerstone Commons. The annual picnic promotes the national "Week of the Young Child," focusing on the importance of the first 2,000 days of educational, physical and social development in a child's life leading up to starting kindergarten. Children were encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animals and enjoy a variety of activities.
