Duplin Foundation to begin accepting grant applications

KENANSVILLE -- The board of advisers of the Duplin County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for projects funded from its community fund, Bob Kornegay, board president, said.
Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Duplin County.
Applications are available beginning April 1. The deadline for submitting applications is noon May 3.

The Duplin County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants.
In addition to Kornegay, board members are: Debra Morrisey, vice chair; Randy L. Albertson, treasurer; and Glenn Brewer, Kristy Judge Bryan, Ed Emory, Pam Owen Godwin, Nancy Jordan, Todd Minchew and Richard Phaneuf.
