Heroin arrest

A Pikeville woman faces drug and gun charges following a traffic stop in Goldsboro Wednesday.
According to a Goldsboro Police Department press release, Leslie Brown Williams, 54, 786 Forehand Road, is charged with possession of heroin and carrying a concealed weapon. Ms. Williams was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
The Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad conducted the traffic stop in the 300 block of Woodrow Street at about 12:30 p.m.
Ms. Williams, driving a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, had in her possession 10 bags of heroin and a loaded 9 mm Smith and Wesson handgun, according to the press release.
Members of the Goldsboro Police Department K-9 unit and Warrants Squad assisted with the investigation.
