Center Stage Theatre will present the comedy "Moon Over Buffalo" this weekend at the Paramount Theatre.

Days and times are today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

The play centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s, played by Center Stage veterans Gene McLendon and Sue Nobers. At the moment, the two are performing "Private Lives" and "Cyrano De Bergerac" in repertoire in Buffalo, N.Y.

On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George's involvement with a young actress, they receive word that they might have one last shot at stardom because Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee.

Unfortunately, everything that could go wrong, does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter's clueless fiancé and the hilarious uncertainty about which play they're actually performing.

The play is a night of sword play, misunderstandings, word play, crazy antics and touching reunions.

In addition to McLendon and Nobers, the play also features Brooke King, Clay Raines, Debbie McLendon, Kenan Stewart, Nicole Weintraub and Doc Heidicker.

Tickets are $15 to $18, available at the Paramount box office, by calling 919-583-8432 or online at www.goldsboroparamount.com.
