Man killed on John Street

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the city during the early morning hours Sunday.
Patrol officers called to a shooting in the 400 block of South John Street at 2:44 a.m. discovered Julius Isiah Bryant, 27, suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.
Paramedics also responded and pronounced Bryant dead at the scene.
"We are still trying to find potential witnesses," Maj. Anthony Carmon said.
The shooting happened just blocks away -- two-tenths of a mile, according to Google Maps -- from the Goldsboro Police Department in a residential strip along South John Street where East Pine Street meets West Pine.
Carmon said there is no indication as to what led to the fatal shooting, and so far no suspects have been identified.
According to the report, Bryant has a Dudley address, and it is not yet clear what he was doing in the area.
"There were no other victims," he said.
