Goldsboro police were able to locate and arrest a local man Wednesday they had earlier in the day described to the public as "armed and dangerous," and who was wanted for attempted murder.

Travonte Na'Quan Coley, 30, of 611 Isler St., is charged with attempted murder, firing into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $260,000 secured bond.

Also charged is Nana Janay Reinhardt, 26, 504 Hinson St. Reinhardt is being held on a $30,000 secured bond on a single count of felony accessory after the fact to attempted murder.

Maj. Anthony Carmon said Coley was arrested when he showed up to court this morning for a first appearance on other charges.

"He was picked up in court. He was there for a first appearance on another matter," Carmon said. "She was picked up outside the court. I think she was waiting there to pick him up," he added.

Coley's charges stem from a shooting outside the Lighthouse Food Mart at 902 Herman Place at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, Jacob Smith, 23, of Goldsboro, was struck in the face by a bullet but managed to drive as far as the 1000 block of Atlantic Avenue before pulling over. He was first taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for further treatment, according to a Goldsboro Police Department press release.

Carmon said that Reinhardt was charged for participating in the crime after it happened, but he would not elaborate on how.

Both Coley and Reinhardt are due to appear in Wayne County District Court on Monday.
