Police chase another murder in city

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a homicide following the discovery of a 32-year-old man who was shot to death in his car early this morning.
Police found Abdullah Ali Whitaker, 32, of 100 Woodrose Ave., dead in his car at 12:09 a.m. from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a police report.
Whitaker is the eighth homicide victim in the city so far this year.
Whitaker was located after he crashed his white 2010 Buick Enclave in the 200 block of West Spruce Street, according to the report.
The shooting took place one block away, in the 300 block of West Spruce Street, the report said.
There is no description or suspect information listed on the report.
The Goldsboro Police Department, despite several calls and phone messages, did not respond by press time. The investigation, according to the report, is ongoing.
