Two men turned up at Wayne Memorial Hospital Thursday night with lacerations, one to his neck and the other to his arm, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The men were injured in an altercation with each other, the report said.
Timothy O'Neal Teachy, 50, of Goldsboro, and Decondorus Mclean, 29, of Dudley, got into an argument while hanging out at a residence at 911 A S. Audubon Ave., according to the report.
Teachy said he and Mclean were fighting, then Mclean turned to walk away. When Teachy followed Mclean in an attempt to calm him down, Mclean turned around and cut him on the neck with an object.
"A tool or a knife, we're not really sure at this point," Maj. Anthony Carmon said. Carmon, head of investigations for the department, said the case would most likely be resolved by the patrol division.
Teachy was transported by Wayne County EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. Mclean later arrived on his own seeking treatment for a cut to his arm.
Mclean told police it was Teachy who came at him with the knife, and that his neck got cut in the process, the report said.
No charges have been filed.
