A woman is recovering after being shot inside her home in the 600 block of Isler Street on Saturday night.
No suspects have been developed in the case, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The shooting took place at 11:45 p.m.
Tanisha Johnston, 34, 611 Isler St., told police she was inside her home sitting on the couch when she heard a knock at her front door.
Mrs. Johnston got up to look through the blinds and the unknown suspects started shooting at her. She was struck in the back by a shotgun shell, the report said.
Police, fire and rescue units responded, blocking off the corner at East Elm and Isler streets. Officers used flashlights to look for shell casings and spoke with neighbors to piece together what happened.
No suspect information is listed on the report.
In an earlier incident, shots fired in the 600 block of Poplar Street caused property damage but no injuries, according to a police report.
Walter Tamike Gaddy, 27, and Aaron Maurice Wellington, 34, were walking up to Gaddy's home at 11:58 a.m. Saturday when a black SUV drove by and an occupant opened fire. Bullets struck his car -- blowing out a tire -- and his residence, shattering a front window. The suspect is described only as a black male, according to the report.
Finally, a man was beaten and shot at in the 1700 block of North George Street early Saturday morning.
Roger Raynor, 56, told police he was walking down the street when an unknown black man drove up, got out and pointed a gun at him, according to a police report.
Raynor said the man told him to get on his knees, but he refused. The suspect hit Raynor in the arm with the butt of the gun, forcing him to the ground. The man fled, but as he drove off, he fired a single shot in Raynor's direction.
Raynor did not know the name of the person who assaulted him, the report said.
