The jets will be louder -- their flight paths lower.
And they could streak through the skies early in the morning or late at night.
At least, for the next few days.
The 4th Fighter Wing is currently conducting a readiness exercise -- one that ensures local airmen are prepared when their nation calls.
So through Friday, Wayne County residents should expect a bit more action coming from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base -- increased jet noise, low-level flying, loudspeaker announcements and the occasional loud boom.
The exercise and additional flying ensures local airmen are prepared to support overseas contingency operations and effectively complete the 4th's mission.
