Five people have been shot in the city since Thursday, according to Goldsboro police reports, including two teenagers and a man who did not know he had been wounded until the next day.

Nathan Hale Faison, 51, told Goldsboro police he was walking in the street after 9 p.m. Thursday when he heard what he thought were fireworks. When he got home, he realized his right knee was bleeding.

According to the police report, Faison went to work the next day and his knee continued to bleed. When he finally went to Wayne Memorial Hospital, a bullet was discovered lodged under his right kneecap. Faison filed a report with the police department, but he could not provide a suspect description.

That same evening, two teens -- 18-year-old Ty'Quan Sutton and a 15-year-old female -- were shot while walking across a field behind the Grand at Day Circle housing, community also known as Courtyard. Both victims were treated and released and no suspects have been developed in that case.

Goldsboro police have also released the identity of the man shot in the parking lot of the Christ Made a Way barbershop at 908 E. Elm St. Saturday, although investigators have not yet spoken with the victim.

At about 3:45 p.m., Victor Devon Braswell, 26, suffered gunshot wounds to both legs following an argument with another man, according to a police report.

A woman, whose relationship to Braswell has not yet been determined, drove him to Wayne Memorial Hospital in her private vehicle, the report said.

When police arrived at the hospital, the woman told them Braswell had argued with a man in a white, extended-cab pickup truck. The argument became heated and the man in the truck fired several shots at Braswell, striking him in both legs, according to the report.

Several patrol officers responded to the shooting and taped off a portion of the parking lot. Shell casings were recovered at the scene. No further description of the suspect has been obtained and the police department this morning had no update on Braswell's condition.

In a separate incident, a man is recovering after being shot in the arm while sitting on his front porch outside his Simmons Street home at 12:30 a.m. today.

Freddie Antonio Tann, 36, told police he was sitting on his front porch with two women when a young black man walked up and began shooting at him. Tann was hit in the left arm and the two women escaped unharmed.

A suspect has been identified, according to the police report, but no charges have been filed.
