Robbers were able to pry through a side entrance, disable the alarm and break into the floor safe of an East Ash Street auto parts store undetected Sunday night, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The break-in at O'Reilly Auto Parts at 2400 E. Ash St. took place sometime between 9:20 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.
According to the report, an employee arrived on scene and found the business had been broken into. A west side door was pried open at the lock. Wires to the alarm system were ripped out of the box, the report said.
Inside the business, the suspects got their hands on a company credit card, $1,082 in cash, a fireproof lockbox, and a floor safe valued at $1,000. Damage to the door and alarm system was estimated at $125.
Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department said they had nothing further to add to the report today.
