More than $4,100 in copper and tools are missing as a result of a weekend break-in on the property of Spring Creek Elementary School, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report.
The break-in took place late Saturday or early Sunday.
According to the report, a conex box -- a storage container belonging to Tripple R Electric, a company based out of Kinston -- was forced open and more than $2,500 in miscellaneous tools were removed.
The unknown suspects also got away with a 100-foot extension cord and four spools of copper wiring valued at $1,600.
No fingerprints were found at the scene, and no suspect description is listed on the report.
