The Interact Club at the Boys and Girls Club of Royall Avenue in Goldsboro is holding a fundraiser today to benefit disaster relief in Nepal.
Interact is a Youth Leadership Program of Rotary International, sponsored locally by Three Eagles Rotary Club of Goldsboro.
Interact is committed to at least one service project each year that will make a difference in another country. Because of the recent earthquake in Nepal the Interact Club has chosen to raise funds to help with disaster recovery there.
A "Skate for the Cause" will be held at the Round-A-Bout Skating Rink at 1305 Parkway Drive from 4-6 p.m. Entry to the event is $5. Skate rental is $2. However, you don't have to skate to support the event. Round-A-Bout Skating Rink will contribute $1.50 to disaster recovery in Nepal for every admission, once a 50-person minimum is reached.
