Goldsboro man shot in car

A Goldsboro man is recovering at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville this morning after being shot while sitting in his car in the 600 block of East Holly Street Sunday.
The shooting took place at 12:45 p.m.
SirAndre Leamon Turner, 23, of Beech Street, was shot several times while he sat in a car, a Goldsboro police report said.
Turner is listed in fair condition according to officials at Vidant.
A bullet fired during the assault on Turner strayed into a nearby residence. Letanya Holloman, a Holly Street resident, told police a bullet passed through her front door and struck an interior wall. No one was injured inside the home.
Turner could not identify the shooter, according to the report. He was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Vidant Medical Center.
Investigators have been assigned to the case.
