Two men charged in theft of tools

Two Wayne County men already in jail in other counties for separate crimes are now charged with the theft of a trailer filled with tools taken from a residence in Goldsboro.
The trailer and tools, valued at $12,842, was recovered recently in Fremont.
"Some of the tools, not all of them, were recovered," Maj. Anthony Carmon said.
The trailer, described on the report as a 1987 Hazelwood enclosed trailer, was reported stolen from 208 Daniel Drive by its owner, Brian Williams, on April 30.
According to a Goldsboro Police Department press release, Michael Brandon Murphy, 37, of LaGrange, and Jamie Scott Parish, 40, of Goldsboro were identified as suspects in the theft.
Murphy, in the custody of the Lenoir County Jail, is charged with felony conspiracy to commit larceny, larceny and possession of stolen goods. His bond has been set at $30,000 secured. He is scheduled to appear in Wayne County District Court later today.
Parish, presently incarcerated at Craven Correctional Institution, has outstanding warrants for felony conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.
