Central/Eastern Wayne High alumni homecoming set

Central/Eastern Wayne High School Alumni & Friends will observe its annual homecoming May 22-24.
Classes ending in 0 and 5 will be honored.
The banquet will be held on Friday, May 22 at Best Grove MB Church at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Matthew Edwards of Atlanta, Ga., a member of the Central High Class of 1965. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased by May 11.
A dutch breakfast meeting will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 9 a.m. at Murray's restaurant. A parade will be held at noon in the Central Heights Community. The lineup will begin at 11 a.m. at Eastern Wayne Middle School. Entry forms are available.
The annual family picnic will be held at Eastern Wayne Middle School at 1 p.m. Dinner will be served from 2-3 p.m. Tickets are $15. There will be games and activities for all ages. Vendors are welcome. Set-up fee is $25.
At 9 p.m. on Saturday the homecoming ball will be held at Murray's on New Hope Road. Tickets are $25. They will be $30 at the door.
On Sunday, the class will worship at Jackson Chapel Church in the Beston community at 11 a.m. The awards, recognition and scholarship program will be held at Woods Chapel UAFWB Church on Sunday at 5 p.m. The guest speaker will be Sheila Durham, a member of the Eastern Wayne Class of 1975. Scholarship recipients and retirees will be honored.
The deadline for information to be included in the souvenir book is May 11. The donor price list is $100 for the Panther list, $50 for the white list and $25 for the blue list. Shirts and flags are on sale for $15 each. Building fund donations and scholarship donations also are being accepted.
