Pickler will perform at air show

In her Red High Heels, Kellie Pickler will take the stage at this year's Wings Over Wayne air show at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
She is scheduled to perform after the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration on Saturday to conclude the day's events.
"American Idol" fans will be able to catch a double feature with Ms. Pickler's and Goldsboro native Majesty Rose's performances.
Majesty Rose will sing the national anthem in the morning.
Ms. Pickler is a North Carolina native and was a 2006 finalist on "American Idol." She is the 2013 winner of "Dancing with the Stars," where she and partner Derek Hough dazzled fans with their moves.
She is known for her hit songs "Best Days of Your Life" and her newest hit "Someone Somewhere Tonight."
She has won six music awards, including the 2008 CMT Music Awards Performance of the Year. She has also received award nominations from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music and Teen Choice.
"Through our partnership with the USO of North Carolina, we are extremely excited to announce Kellie Pickler's performance at this year's air show," said Lt. Col. James Ladd, air show director. "Her concert will be a spectacular way to end the first day of events and send everyone home on a high note."
