A woman arrested in Selma Wednesday faces charges of aiding and abetting in connection with the March 18 armed robbery of the KS Bank in Goldsboro.

Lakisha Quan'shell Williamson, 27, is being held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond.

Ms. Williamson is the third person charged in the robbery which took place at 10:13 a.m. March 18.

Officials say two masked men walked into the bank located at 1601 Wayne Memorial Drive that morning, fired a single shot into the ceiling and demanded money. The men then fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

A day later, Marquize Marcel Harris, 25, and Phillip Alexander Williams, 27, both of Goldsboro, were arrested in Clayton by vice officers with the Clayton Police Department. The officers were called to the second floor of the Comfort Suites hotel off U.S. 70 in Clayton after other guests complained to the front desk.

Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department were called to assist.

Evidence found in the room and in the suspects' vehicle connected the two men to the bank robbery.

Capt. Dwayne Dean of the Goldsboro Police Department said Ms. Williamson was one of two women who also were detained.

"She was at the hotel in Clayton and further investigation of the matter led us to charge/arrest her as we did," he said.

Harris and Williams were both charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm in an enclosure to incite fear, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. In addition, both men were charged with seven counts of second-degree kidnapping. Each had pre-existing warrants for arrest on unrelated charges and each are being held under secured bonds in excess of $10 million.

Harris and Williams are due to appear in Wayne County District Court July 1.

Ms. Williamson was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff's Office Wednesday and turned over to Goldsboro police. The investigation remains ongoing and further arrests are pending.

Whether or not the money stolen from the bank has been recovered remains uncertain.

"No comment," Dean said.
