A Goldsboro man is charged with using his employer's company credit card to make unauthorized purchases, according to a Goldsboro Police Department press release.

The alleged transactions took place in July 2014.

Javarus Juante Wooten, 34, 609 Wilmington Ave., is charged with obtaining property by false pretenses. His arrest came after a complaint filed back in the summer by David Disher of Nammi N.C., Inc.

According to the press release, Wooten used the credit card to make transactions between July 21 and 29, 2014. The alleged amount spent by Wooten was not disclosed.

Warrants were first secured for Wooten's arrest in December of last year. Police were finally able to catch up with Wooten Feb. 27.

Wooten has been placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $9,500 secured bond.

Wooten was also served with an existing warrant for probation violation. He was scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County District Court Monday, but the date was continued to March 16, according to the Office of the Wayne County Clerk of Courts.
