A Goldsboro man already in jail now faces additional charges for larceny and possession of stolen goods, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's office press release.
Jahaun Maleek Bryant, 22, 215 Banks Ave., was already in jail on previous charges when investigators served him with an arrest warrant stemming from a vehicle theft on Feb. 14.
The investigation began with the report of a vehicle being stolen outside a convenience store in the Mar Mac area.
According to the release, the victim witnessed Bryant stealing the car and attempted to stop him. The victim went so far as to break out his own car window to get to Bryant but was unsuccessful.
Deputies later found the vehicle abandoned within the Goldsboro city limits.
