Goldsboro man arrested Friday on drug charges

A Goldsboro man faces charges of drug trafficking following a traffic stop Friday on U.S. 70 East.
Marquil Jamel Brodie, 29, 715 First St., is charged with trafficking cocaine by possession and trafficking cocaine by transport, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release issued Monday.
Brodie has been placed in he Wayne County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond.
According to the press release, officers with the Wayne County Drug Task Force continuing an investigation into the sale and distribution of cocaine in Goldsboro and Wayne County.
Brodie was found in possession of 29 grams of cocaine, the press release said.
