The Goldsboro Police Department announced Monday the arrest of two brothers made during an investigation into the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and subsequent financial card fraud.
Jesse Luke Hardin, 20, 408 Hinson St., is charged with one count each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, financial card theft, larceny, possession of stolen property and financial card fraud.
Hardin was arrested in the 400 block of Hollowell Avenue Friday.
Jamie Lee Hardin, 21, of 1653 Hood Swamp Road in LaGrange, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Monday and charged with each of the same crimes as his younger brother.
Both Hardin men were placed in the Wayne County Jail, each under a $2,000 secured bond.
According to a GDP press release, the vehicle break-in took place in the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse, 600 N. Berkeley Blvd., on Feb. 2.
Among the items reported stolen were a laptop computer, headphones, two book bags and two credit cards.
The credit cards were later used in two separate transactions, bringing the total value of stolen property to $1,695, the release said.
