FREMONT -- Tired of cold weather and dreaming of your spring garden? There's art waiting to inspire you at the "Lexicon of Sustainability Pop-Up Art Show."
The free show in the Ida H. Williams Auditorium at the Charles B. Aycock Birthplace State Historic Site Feb. 15-21 is all about the changing way Americans eat.
The show will encourage conversation about our rapidly changing food culture and educate, engage and encourage people to pay attention to how they eat, what they buy, and about their responsibility to create a healthier, safer food system.
The "Lexicon of Sustainability Art Show" is one of many events promoting the Wayne County Reads program. The book selected this year is "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life," by Barbara Kingsolver. For more information visit http://www.waynegov.com/domain/151.
The Charles B. Aycock State Historic Site interprets the life of an 1870s family farm in eastern North Carolina.
