Judge's wife's car broken into at event

An Apple iPad stolen from a vehicle parked outside the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly Hall at 211 W. Hooks River Road Monday morning during the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration has the owner's name engraved under the Apple symbol on the back, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The owner's name -- Arnie Jones.
An unknown suspect broke out both the passenger and driver's side windows of the BMW belonging to the wife of N.C. Judicial District 8-B Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Arnold O. Jones.
The theft took place between 8:30 and 10:40 a.m.
Ingrid Lancaster-Maciulis, of Pikeville, reported $200 in cash stolen along with the i-Pad, as well as a brown leather wallet, a black tumi bag, assorted bank and identification cards and credit cards.
The value of the stolen property plus the damage to the vehicle reach a combined estimate of $1,826, according to the report.
The investigation is ongoing.
