Government will observe holiday

Local, state, and federal offices, banks, the Postal Service office and schools will observe the Thanksgiving holiday this week.
All Wayne County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, with the exception of the landfill. The landfill and convenience sites will be closed Thursday, but will open on Friday.
State offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Federal offices, banks, and the Postal Service office will be closed Thursday.
Goldsboro City Hall will close and observe Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday.
City refuse and recycle services for Thursday and Friday will be serviced on Wednesday.
All yard waste services will be canceled for the Thanksgiving holiday week.
Wayne County Public Schools and Wayne Community College will be closed Wednesday through Friday.
Walnut Creek village offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Trash pickup will be on the normal schedule on Tuesday, but recycling will be picked up Friday instead of Thursday.
Seven Springs Town Hall will be closed Wednesday through Friday.
Eureka Town Hall will be closed on Thursday. The town's trash pickup schedule will not be affected.
Fremont Town Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday. Trash pickup usually scheduled for Thursday, west of the town's train tracks, will be moved to Wednesday.
Mount Olive Town Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The recyclable center will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, but will be open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Yard waste will be collected on Monday (Monday and Tuesday's route), Tuesday (Wednesday and Thursday's route) and Wednesday (Friday's route).
Household garbage pickup will be Friday and Saturday.
Pikeville Town Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday. Trash pickup will be moved from Thursday to Friday.
Wooten Garbage Service will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Thursday pickup will be collected on Friday.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Customers normally serviced on Thursday will instead be serviced on Friday. Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
