Panera Bread is coming to Goldsboro.
The restaurant chain applied for building permits on Oct. 10 and has submitted both exterior and interior plans to the city planning and inspections department, city building codes inspector Allen Anderson said.
The building permits have not yet been approved, but are expected to go through, Anderson said.
Panera has received grading permits from Goldsboro, allowing the company to go forward with site preparation.
It will be located across from Olive Garden on Berkeley Boulevard at the corner of Berkeley Boulevard and Ridgecrest Drive.
Permits are expected to be approved, Anderson said. Officials are just waiting to make sure all sanitary sewer and storm water issues are in order.
There is no word as to when the restaurant will be opening.
Multiple calls to the company were not returned.
