Goldsboro police are investigating an attempted robbery and shooting in the 1500 block of South Slocumb Street early this morning.
Anthony Antonio Culbertson, 40, said he was walking to work at 3:30 a.m. when a dark SUV pulled alongside him and the passenger jumped out, according to the police report.
A short, dark-skinned black man with dreadlocks pointed a black handgun at Culbertson and told him to strip, the report said.
The would-be robber's exact words were, "Yo, get naked, get out all your clothes, come out all pockets, come out everything, all your money," the report said.
Culbertson dropped his bag and ran.
As Culbertson ran west down Eden Place, he heard three gunshots behind him and he heard the vehicle drive off heading west on Dixie Trail.
No further descriptions of the vehicle or the gunman were listed on the report. The investigation is ongoing.
