Dancing event set for Saturday

A fundraiser to raise money to fight cancer will be held Saturday night in downtown Goldsboro.
Stars Dancing for Cures will feature 19 area residents who are either cancer survivors, currently fighting the disease or dancing in memory of loved ones who have been affected by it.
The event will be held Saturday at the Acme Theatre on South Center Street, with dinner starting at 6 p.m., followed by the show at 7. Tickets are $50 each.
Performers and their partners include Joyce Aycock and Norman Hooker; Tiffany Steinhilber and Kevin Fortney; Alice Adams and Hooker; Natalie Griffin and Dr. Charles Zwerling; Xenia Preveziotis and Zwerling; Joann Barbour and Marty Barbour; Victoria Foster and Hooker; Patricia Warren and Reagan Jackson; Joy Williams and Carl Williams; Deana Rayner and Kevin Amory; Brandi Steinhilber and Micah Sherard; Beth Williams and Brian Williams; Shirley Hughes and Hooker; Olivia Haveri and Marty Barbour; Courtney Horton and Teague Horton; Jimmie Ford and Joy Williams; Sue Gregg and Hooker; Patsy Spear and Carl Williams; and Margo Smith and Zwerling.
All proceeds from the event will go to Cures for the Colors, a foundation created by Southeastern Oncology, a support organization for cancer patients and their families in eastern North Carolina. It provides financial support, emotional encouragement and other services.
