Alleged shooter is charged

One man is in custody following a shooting in Pikeville Saturday.
Macarius Mandeville, 35, 108 Lisa Drive Lot 28, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
The shooting occurred Saturday near Big Daddy's Road.
By the time Wayne County EMS and sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect had fled.
The victim, Bruce Kearney, 50, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
Throughout the course of the investigation, Mandeville was identified as a suspect and investigators located him Tuesday.
Mandeville is due to appear in Wayne County District Court for a first appearance this afternoon.
