The one-stop voting schedule for the Tuesday, Nov. 4, mid-term general election has been approved by the state Board of Elections.

The county will operate five sites between Thursday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Nov. 1.

They will include the Veterans Services Office at 2001 E. Ash St., Belfast Fire Station at 3213 N. U.S. 117, the Little River Shopping Center at 1312-C W. Grantham St., New Hope Friends Church at 4451 E. U.S. 70, and Mount Olive Civic Center at 110 W. Main St. in Mount Olive.

The sites will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 through 31, but there are exceptions.

Only the Veterans Services location will be open on Sunday, Oct. 26. The hours that day will be 1 to 5 p.m.

All of the sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Banners and signs will be placed at each site by the end of next week announcing the one-stop dates and how to find out more information, said Wayne County Elections Director Rosemary Blizzard.

Also, she said the Board of Elections was expected to launch a new website, www.waynevotesearly.com, by the end of business today.

The site will provide simplified information on casting a ballot in the county.
