CMT Music Award nominee Dustin Lynch will perform Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. in Kornegay Arena on the University of Mount Olive campus.

Aaron Goodvin will be the opening act during the fourth annual Fall Fest concert in which the university has brought big-name musical performers to its campus.

The event is open to the public and advanced tickets are $12.

"When we originally created Fall Fest, we envisioned an annual event that would excite our students and community, and prove that a small school can still have large events with national talent," said Emily Schneider, director of student activities.

The university seeks to bring a wide array of musical talent to campus to ensure that all students have a chance to enjoy the concert, she said.

"We've had major Christian, country, and Christian/alternative acts in the past, but this is the first time that we're bringing someone currently featured on the Billboard Top 100 Chart for their genre," Ms. Schneider said. "I fully expect Fall Fest 2014 to be our biggest concert yet."

Some of the most popular hit singles by this CMT Music Award nominee include: "Cowboys and Angels," "She Cranks My Tractor," "Wild in Your Smile," and his most recent single "Where It's At (Yep, Yep)."

Lynch's highly anticipated sophomore album, "Where It's At", is set to be released in September.
