Jamario Weeks is taken into custody by a member of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Tuesday afternoon.
Arresting officer Det. Sgt. Ronald Baker of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday's capture of a breaking and entering suspect began with the suspect's being chased from a residence by the homeowner's father.
Jamario DeShawn Weeks, 24, 619 N. William St., is charged with breaking and entering and possession of stolen property, stemming from a July 26 break-in at 1493 Parkstown Road near LaGrange, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
He is suspected of several others.
Weeks was taken into custody after a man traveling down Parkstown Road saw suspicious activity outside his daughter's home. The man stopped and allegedly encountered Weeks and another unidentified individual.
After questioning the two and then watching them leave, the man decided to follow their vehicle and contact police.
The suspect's vehicle struck a trailer causing severe front end damage, but continued on.
A Wayne County sheriff's patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle outside the Social Security Office at 915 W. New Hope Road.
A Glock 19 9mm pistol was found inside the vehicle along with stolen property from the earlier break-in.
Weeks is being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond
Additional charges are expected.
