College to offer variety of occupational, computer classes

Wayne Community College Continuing Education will offer a variety of computer and occupational classes this summer.

Computer courses include:

*Introduction to Computers, 6-9 p.m. on Mondays in Room 220 of the Magnolia Building

*Introduction to Microsoft Office 2013 - 6-9 p.m. on Mondays in Magnolia 219 or 1-4 p.m. on Tuesdays in Magnolia 220

*iPad I, 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays in Spruce 112 and

*Microsoft Excel 2013, 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays in Magnolia 219.

Occupational skill classes include:

*Today's Teller, 6-8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays in Magnolia 219,

*Workplace Spanish II, 6-8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Magnolia 218, and

*Basic Residential Wiring, 6-10 p.m. on Tuesdays in Hocutt 250.

All of these courses start the first week of June and cost $70 except the wiring course for which the fee is $125.

On June 16 and 18, a Notary Public Education course will be held 4:30-8:30 p.m. in Spruce 120. Cost is $70.

Students may register and pay the fee in advance at the Continuing Education Division's customer service desk in the Walnut Building, online at www.waynecc.edu/continuing-ed or at the first class session.

There are still spaces in four classes that began this week: Adobe Photoshop, Web Design-WordPress, and both the day and evening Administrative Assistant classes.
