Seven Springs festival Saturday

SEVEN SPRINGS -- The 14th annual Ole Timey Days festival will be held Saturday.
The first event of the day will be a pageant at 9 a.m. at town hall. The court will reign over the festival that will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After the afternoon break, the festivities will kick up again with a street dance from 7-11 p.m.
A barbecue cookoff will start at 10 a.m. at the Seven Springs Fire Station. Barbecue plates will cost $6 and sandwiches $3.
The Kids Corner will feature inflatables, pony rides, barrel rides, face painting and balloons.
Also on tap are cornhole and horseshoes competitions, antique tractor and car shows, Mar-Mac Fire Department storm simulation trailer, Arrington Fire Department Boat and ATV Search and Rescue Team, Neuse River Keepers, Got to be N.C. Goodness Grows and the Storm Squad, cheerleaders for the Mount Olive Hurricanes youth football team.
