A Wayne County man faces heroin charges after a traffic stop on N.C. 111 South on Saturday.

Collin Lee Johnson, 19, 100 Delia Trail, faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a vehicle for the purposes of a controlled substance.

He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Crime Enforcement Team stopped Johnson near Country Acres.

According to a press release issued this morning, Johnson had in his possession enough heroin to constitute charges of possession with intent to sell.

"He had more than would have been for personal use," Maj. Tom Effler said.

Johnson is scheduled to make a first appearance in Wayne County District Court this afternoon.
