PIKEVILLE -- The Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force and SBI raided another methamphetamine manufacturing operation Tuesday, this time in Pikeville.
Marc Alan Kearney, 41, of 135 Kent Lane, is charged with seven counts of possession and distribution of a methamphetamine precursor, and single counts each of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Kearney is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $240,000 secured bond.
A second suspect, John Robert Brown, 28, of 102 Wildwood Lane, is charged with four counts of possession and distribution of a methamphetamine precursor and one count of conspiracy to manufacture meth. He is being held under a $200,000 secured bond.
The task force and SBI are continuing to investigate the production and distribution of methamphetamine in Goldsboro and Wayne County.
Through the course of the investigation, deputies developed information that Kearney was manufacturing and selling meth.
The deputies secured and executed a search warrant at Kearney's residence, resulting in his, and Brown's, arrest.
Additional arrests are expected.
