On Tuesday, April 15, Stanley Bowers reported that an unknown black male approached him in the parking lot of J.C. Penney. After asking Mr. Bowers for a cigarette, the unknown male snatched an envelope of money from his shirt pocket and fled west on foot. A witness saw the unknown male get into a silver Dodge Charger. The vehicle left the parking lot traveling toward Berkeley Boulevard. The unknown black male was described as approximately 6 feet tall, slender, wearing all black. He also had orange shoelaces and orange on his hat.
