Shooting suspect sought by GPD

Goldsboro police are still looking for the man believed to be responsible for the mid-afternoon shooting outside Beestown Grocery store on Slocumb Street that sent three people to the hospital Wednesday.
Malik Ward, 17, is to be considered armed and dangerous, investigators said.
Police say Ward left the store Wednesday and opened fire. One bullet struck Robert Lee Cole, 20, in the mouth.
Someone returned fire, resulting in two other men being wounded, according to a press release.
Tyrone Tasheem Jones, and Kendall Edward Boone, both 23, were shot in the foot and leg, respectively.
Both Cole and Jones had to be airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
While other units were en route to Beestown, police saw a white Buick streak down South Audubon Avenue at about 100 miles per hour.
The officers gave chase and finally got the car stopped on Royall Avenue. A bullet passed through the windshield and the rear window was completely shot out. Cole, who was in the car, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital from the scene at Royall Avenue.
Jones and Boone arrived at the hospital emergency room soon after in private vehicles.
Security camera footage has been secured from the grocery store, and several calls have come in with information regarding the shooting.
