Her many fans in Wayne County remain proud of Majesty

There were no tears from the crowd after the "American Idol" viewing party at the Goldsboro Family Y Thursday night -- only determination.
A determination that, though Goldsboro's Idol hopeful, Majesty Rose, was leaving the show, she was not through with her chance at her dream.
"It's not what we wanted, but it is the beginning of a fabulous career," said Tammy Yates, director of competitive aquatics for the Y. "Let's keep sending out our Majesty mania."
Some people hoped she would come back again to compete next year.
"I'm so depressed. She is our Majesty and will continue to be our Majesty and I want to see her right back up there next year," said Dinah Tootle of Rosewood.
Another fan said she hoped Majesty would try out for the Black Entertainment Television gospel singing show, Sunday Best.
Majesty struggled through the bottom three the past two weeks, only to fall into the bottom three again Thursday.
Then, when she was eliminated, she failed to secure the lone save from the three "Idol" judges and was sent home.
She sang "Happy," by Pharrell Williams as her final song, but it wasn't enough.
"Without a doubt, this was the hardest deliberation we have had on this show," judge Keith Urban said. "By a very narrow margin, we are not going to use our save tonight, and it is such a small margin."
Majesty was met by her fellow contestants on stage for a tearful goodbye before the screen faded to black.
But the road has not ended for the singer, as she will go on a nationwide tour with the rest of the top 10 contestants after the season ends.
Beatrice Birdine was shocked that Majesty Rose did not make it through after Wednesday night's performance.
"I thought she did a wonderful job," she said. "I thought that she would be on a lot longer."
"I'm disappointed because I really think she could have gone much farther," Ms. Yates added. "She performed with a lot of heart and a lot of joy. I know her career will go on and there is no cap to what she can do."
