Duplin agribusiness dinner set for Jan. 30

KENANSVILLE -- The Duplin County Agribusiness Council will hold its annual dinner meeting on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Lois G. Britt Agricultural Center at Duplin Commons south of Kenansville.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Steven Lommel, associate dean and director for the N.C. Agricultural Research Service in N.C. State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Dinner tickets for non-members are $15 for adults and $5 for children age 12 or younger. Adult dinner tickets purchased before Jan. 23 will be discounted to $12. To make reservations or for more information, contact the Duplin County Cooperative Extension Service office at 910-296-2143.
The Agribusiness Council is a concerned group of Duplin County residents working together to increase awareness of the county's agribusiness industry and its vital importance to the overall economic well-being of the county and the state.
Annual membership dues are $30 per person, which includes the cost of the annual meeting meal. Membership dues paid before Jan. 23 will receive a $5 discount.
