Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department are investigating a shooting that took place Friday just before 6 p.m. outside a business at 610-A N. Madison Ave.
Officers found Ty'keem Wooten, 22, of Daisy St., in the parking lot with a gunshot wound, according to a police report.
The report did not indicate where Wooten had been struck.
He was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville at 7:25 p.m., according to hospital officials.
Officials with Vidant said today they have no patient under that name listed in their care, meaning he might have been released or that he or law enforcement asked that his name be withheld from hospital records.
Several calls to the Goldsboro Police Department were not returned by press time.
