The 13th annual Wayne County Public Schools Choral Showcase will be performed over three nights this week.

Holiday season songs will be featured on the program, which will be presented Dec. 3, 4 and 5 at Goldsboro High School.

The showcase first began in 2001 with 12 schools participating and has grown to 29 schools represented.

"The Choral Showcase has become a special holiday event that our schools and community look forward to each year," said Kim Copeland, the school district's performing arts director. "After many weeks of preparation, the music directors are excited to showcase the voices and musical talents of their students and provide audience members three fun filled evenings of seasonal cheer."

Each night, a different group of choral students are scheduled to perform.

The schedule for the participating schools is as follows:

Doors open each evening at 6 p.m. and the programs will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 and all proceeds will benefit choral programs at the participating schools. Children under 5 years old will be admitted free of charge.
