Ten-month-old Campbell Williams reaches out from her mother Meredith's arms to touch a live Christmas tree for the first time at the Optimist tree lot. The club sells the trees as a fundraiser for its activities for youths throughout the year.

This Christmas season, Santa will be at the Optimist Club of Goldsboro's Christmas Tree Lot located on Cashwell Drive between Spence Avenue and Berkeley Boulevard.

Children and their families can have their pictures taken with Santa every Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and every Sunday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m

The Optimist Club will provide a 4-by-6-inch printed picture and a DVD containing all the pictures taken of each child and their family while Santa is at the tree lot or at any other time the tree lot is open when Santa is not available.

There is no charge for the pictures and DVDs, but donations to the Optimist Club for this service are welcome.

The Optimist Club's Christmas Tree Lot is open every Monday through Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Sunday, Dec. 15, or until all the trees have been sold.

During this time, the Optimist Club will also collect used computers and equipment donations for its Computers4Kids program.
