Altercation ends with gunshots

Several gunshots fired inside the Beestown Grocery at 905 S. Slocumb St. late Friday damaged a cooler and sent one man to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The glass front doors of the business also were damaged.
Beestown operator Bassam Whabe of Raleigh told investigators that Exzavia Cortez Ramsuer, 23, of 208 Rose St., was shot in the leg by another customer after the two shoppers became engaged in an altercation at about 11 p.m.
The identity and a description of the alleged shooter were provided to investigators. An arrest has not yet been made.
The damage to the store's entrance and cooler was estimated at $2,000.
