Squad seizes drugs in raid

The Goldsboro Wayne County Drug Squad executed a search warrant Wednesday at 211 N. Carolina St., resulting in the arrest of William Javon Maye, 32, of 119 S. Slocumb St.
Investigators seized 23 doses crack cocaine, 12 doses of heroin, boxes of ammunition in eight different calibers, and $1,376, according to a press release.
Maye is charged with possession with intent to sell both cocaine and heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond.
Kenneth Bernard Dixon, 37, also in the residence at the time of the raid, was cited for a misdemeanor drug offense.
A Wayne County sheriff's report indicated Dixon was also forced to pay $500 in back child support.
