The Goldsboro Wayne County Drug Task Force conducted an undercover buy Thursday, leading to the seizure of 40 Percocet pills and the arrest of the alleged seller.
Dawn Elizabeth Pruett, 42, of 3950 U.S. 13 South, is charged with four counts of trafficking opiates and one count of conspiring to traffic opiates.
She is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $1.5 million secured bond.
Ms. Pruett sold 50 Percocet pills to an undercover officer, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
She was then followed as she drove away from the alleged drug deal. Drug Squad officers conducted a traffic stop and found 40 more pills in her possession.
The person from whom Ms. Pruett allegedly obtained the pills has been identified and is likely to be charged soon, according to the press release.
