Man dies in house fire

A Goldsboro man died when his home was destroyed by fire early Saturday.
Police officers found the body of Kenneth Barnes Sr., 61, after a fire destroyed his home at 1219 S. Andrews Ave.
The fire caused $60,000 worth of damage to the residence.
After the fire was extinguished, Barnes' body was found in the front living room.
No further details were available at press time.
