Two men have been charged in connection with the sale and delivery of cocaine in the Saulston area, law enforcement officials say.
Demarco Rashaunn Baker, 35, of 117 Lionel St., was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and the sale and delivery of cocaine. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office's Aggressive Enforcement Team and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations conducted the joint operation.
Investigators conducted a vehicle stop near the area of Clairmont Drive and Wayne Memorial Drive for what law enforcement officials are calling a "vehicle regulatory violation," according to a press release from the Sheriff's Department.
Baker, the passenger, was in possession of what was suspected to be crack cocaine.
The report did not indicate a quantity.
The driver of the vehicle, Phillip Michael Mason, 26, address unknown, was cited for maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of a controlled substance.
